Sara Isabel Ortega Donoso
Sara is an Architect, lighting designer, professor and control specialist. With Masters in; lighting design. Master DIA (UPM), advanced architecture: Technology and Design (US), technology teaching for secondary school (UGR) and a PhD candidate with the theme: “Incidence of lighting in learning within educational buildings” (UPC)
As a professional Sara has been part of great international lighting design studios specialized in several lighting environments:
Light Cibles Singapore, with big scale lighting plan projects as; Liuzhou master lighting plan (China), Langfang master lighting plan (China) & River of light-Kuala Lumpur master lighting plan.
Artec studio (PM), where she developed relevant projects as; Esfera City Center (Mexico), Generator Amsterdam Hostels (Holland), Qetaifan Islands-Lusail (Qatar), One Ocean (Spain), Allianz Auditorium (Spain), Gastroboutique Balfegó (Spain).
Ledscontrol (PD, KAM), where she developed large scale lighting control projects, this included; Zouk Club (Kuala Lumpur), Manacar Tower (México), DWP18 (Bali), Estadio Principe Felipe (Zaragoza), WTC (Lisboa) and Halo (Vigo)
And also impart lessons since 2006 in several design schools and Universities: Escuela Arte Granada, UPM, LCI, UPC.
In all this time Sara has tried to keep involved with the lighting community, being active part of Professional Lighting design associations like APDI and participating in activities each year. To list a few; World architects guide in Frankfurt light fair 2016, Social Light professional guest at IALD 2017 workshop, IALD 2018 speaker: “Active and reactive lighting”, Team leader at lights in Alingsas 2020.
