Alvaro Nieva Montes de Oca

A University professor in Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, and Universidad Panamericana (Bonaterra Campus).

He holds a degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering from Universidad La Salle Mexico, a diploma in Electronics from Philips International Institute in Eindhoven (Netherlands), and a Master’s degree in Architectural Design in Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes.

He founded his lighting design firm in 1995, carrying out projects in the central region of the country. Awards and Recognitions: First place at the 2nd National Congress on Postgraduate Research (UAA, Aguascalientes, 2008) for the paper: “Influence of Light on Spatial Perception”.


2007 IESNA “Edwin F. Guth” Award for the lighting of the Mina del Edén.


2010 IES Award for the lighting of the Museum of Death.
