Jari Vuorinen
Jari Vuorinen is a Finnish lighting designer, light artist, speaker and Creative Director at Lighting Design Collective. Over nearly three decades, his work has evolved from film and architectural lighting to light art, interactive environments and digital-physical experiences.
His approach is driven by a simple question: what can light contribute beyond illumination? His projects range from small artistic interventions to large-scale public, commercial and urban environments, combining narrative, technology and a strong understanding of how people experience space.
Alongside professional practice, Jari has taught, lectured and mentored emerging designers internationally. His MBA research explored mentoring as a tool for transformational change, reinforcing his belief that good mentoring is less about giving answers and more about helping people develop their own thinking, confidence and direction.
He is also active in Finnish light art and continues to explore new relationships between light, media, sensing, content and the built environment.
