Volker von
Kardorff

Volker von Kardorff has been passionate about light planning during his studies and developed a vision of becoming independent. His close proximity to architecture and, at the same time, to the building owners creates the basis for integrated and creative solutions.

Volker studied architecture at the Universities of Brunswick and Stuttgart. Postgraduate studies of MSc Light and Lighting at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College of London (UCL). Volker von Kardorff started his professional career as a lighting designer in 1994. In 2011 he was appointed honorary professor at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences for the field of lighting design in the Design Department. 

Since 1997, together with Gabriele von Kardorff, he now runs Kardorff Ingenieure with great personal commitment and a forward-looking approach.
