Krishna Mistry

Krishna Mistry is a London-based architectural lighting designer, currently at Mistry Lighting.

With over 14 years of experience shaping spaces throught the power of light.

With a degree in interior design, she brings a creative eye and spatial sensitivity—balancing atmosphere, function, and form. Her work is grounded in the belief that light is not just a technical layer, but a powerful medium for storytelling and transformation.

She began her career in 2010 and spent several formative years at the global engineering firm Buro Happold, where she contributed to complex, large-scale projects around the world. In 2020, she founded Mistry Lighting to offer a more hands-on, design-led service that prioritises craft, collaboration, and architectural integration.

Her portfolio spans a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on hospitality venues, artisan bakeries, co-working offices, and Grade II listed buildings. She is known for her active site presence, close collaboration with architects, interior designers, and clients, and her ability to tailor each lighting scheme to the unique identity and rhythm of a space.

Whether developing concepts for a contemporary restaurant or navigating the constraints of a heritage refurbishment, Krishna combines creative intuition with technical clarity. Her work is characterised by sensitivity to materiality, a deep understanding of human behaviour in space, and a commitment to lighting that feels both effortless and intentional.
