Melissa brings over 30 years of expertise in designing with light, delivering a broad spectrum of prestigious, large-scale, and award-winning projects. Her extensive portfolio encompasses lighting masterplans, public realm strategies, commercial developments, retail spaces, museums, and visitor experiences.
As Head of Studio, she excels in team management, maintaining a pragmatic focus on budgets and programme delivery. Her collaborative approach involves working seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to balance creative vision, technical precision, and organisational requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of projects of all scales.
Melissa’s distinctive expertise combines her background as a professional working in film and television as a Cinematographer and Stereographer with her role as a Lighting Designer, enabling her to craft emotive lighting narratives that evoke atmosphere and engagement, bringing value to all sectors of the lighting industry in which she works. This approach ensures that every project not only functions effectively but also resonates on an emotional and experiential level.
