Andrew Bissell

He has worked in the lighting design industry since 1996 and heads up the lighting design team for Ridge.  In his year as president of the society of light and lighting he focused on developing guidance for protecting the night sky; the needs of early career professionals from all fields of lighting design, manufacturing and research and finally raising the awareness of lighting professionals within the construction industry.

Andrew has worked on projects across all sectors and within each sector his focus has been on improving the design process and techniques.  His work has demonstrated improvements in the lit environments for people and wildlife whilst also significantly reducing in use energy and material waste.  More recently Andrew has been working on large scale dark sky projects both in the UK and Saudi Arabia.
