Carla Jardim
Carla is a Brazilian lighting designer with a background in Architecture and Urban Planning & MA in Exhibition Design, which led her to pursue studies and a career in Lighting design.
She is part of the Board Member of IALD German Chapter and part of the Professional Association of Lighting Designers (APDI) from Spain.
Carla started her lighting career in Spain in 2010. However, it was her first visit to The Flaming Beacon (TFB) in the Berlin office that really solidified her passion for lighting design. When she joined the company as a Lighting designer in 2016, she was able to work on large-scale hospitality venues. Thriving in this environment, pushing herself to create innovative and engaging lighting solutions that enhanced the overall design of each space. Over time, taking on more responsibility and growing professionally within TFB. In 2020, Carla became a Team leader, using leadership skills to motivate and inspire her team to produce exceptional work.
In 2022, Carla was promoted to Associate Lighting Designer. In this role, with a focus specifically on hospitality lighting projects, she worked closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, designing custom lighting solutions that perfectly complemented their spaces.
The experience as a Team Leader combined with the Associate role allowed her to further develop leadership and project management skills, which she believes are essential to the success of any lighting design project. Carla is excited to continue to utilize these skills moving forward in her career, to create beautiful and functional lighting solutions that enhance the overall design of any space.
